About Megan

• What inspired you to be part of TEDxKU?

  • KU is my alma mater. I am always deeply inspired by hearing others' original ideas. My hope is by sharing my perspective, someone walks away from TEDxKU seeing themselves or the world in a slightly different way.

• How do you hope people feel after hearing your talk?

  • ​I hope that after people hear my talk, they feel inspired to see themselves even a little bit differently. The more people are able to update their own self-view, the faster we can collectively change the world.

• What’s one book, film or podcast that has shaped your perspective?

  • I LOVE Ted Lasso. The writing and production of the show has made challenging topics like mental health and big life changes easier to talk about. Ted Lasso is an incredible example of leadership in a way that connected people through humor and great storytelling.
