About Luke

  • Tell us a little more about you

    • I'm a senior at KU studying Business Administration with a minor in Professional Selling. I'm from Parker, Colorado, grew up skiing, and have always been drawn to healthcare and technology. I was diagnosed with AML at 17. When I relapsed, when my lungs collapsed, when doctors ran out of answers, it was the one constant I had. It shapes how I see hard moments, how I treat people, and how I've been able to find genuine gratitude in a season that could have looked very different.

  • Who is your inspiration? Why?

    • The doctors and nurses who were part of my journey. They showed up every single day, not just to treat me, but to care for me. Watching them work taught me what it really looks like to be present for another person. And Amelia, who reached out to a stranger in a hospital bed because she knew what it felt like to be there. That kind of empathy, choosing to show up for someone while you're still healing yourself, is something I think about all the time.

  • What’s your personal motto or favorite quote?

    • “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
