• I admire Luke Karel! He has been one of my greatest teachers in grit, grace, and gratitude, even before I knew him personally.

• I am a junior studying accounting and sociology at KU, and I plan to attend law school after undergrad! My hometown of Manhattan is in rival territory, but I am a lifelong Jayhawk and have loved every minute of my time in Lawrence. I was diagnosed with leukemia at age 17 and rang the bell during my freshman year at KU after 2.5 years of chemotherapy treatment. My dream is to publish a memoir about my cancer experience.
