• What’s your current role or area of work?

  • Founder, international DJ, and explorer of the unknown

• ​Who is someone you admire?

  • My parents! They have persevered through major difficulties and profound uncertainties, while sacrificing a great deal to make a better life for our family. They have provided their four children with an abundance of opportunities to succeed and experience the world, and I know I can count on them to continue doing so for as long as I live

• What’s one book, film or podcast that has shaped your perspective?

  • The first Pokémon movie. I appreciate Mewtwo’s journey from being resentful of the world and the circumstances of his birth, to later understanding that it’s what he decides to do with the gift of life that really matters

• What inspired you to be part of TEDxKU?

  • There’s a very short poem by Kobayashi Issa that says,

               “On a branch 

                 floating downriver 

                 a cricket, singing.”

               I believe this perfectly encapsulates our shared predicament of                   being alive on Earth. I wanted to be a part of TEDxKU to                               illuminate the many surprising, unseen, and astonishing ways in                   which life sings on this planet, as we all “float downriver”                             together.​
